Save magazines and catalogs for Ronald McDonald House!
Fermanagh-Mifflintown Elementary School families can support the Ronald McDonald House of Hershey and help the earth, too, by saving and recycling magazines and catalogs!
Collection boxes are located at the school to receive anything that is GLOSSY — that is, magazines, catalogs, annual reports, etc. (No newspapers or telephone books, please.)
Collected items are sent by Ronald McDonald House to Consolidated Scrap Resources in Lebanon. Since 2004, over $222,000 has been raised through the program, with over 7,100 tons of glossy paper recycled. All funds are used to support the operations of the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, which offers temporary home to out-of-town families who have seriously ill children being treated at the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Up to 35 families stay each night at the Ronald McDonald House, free of charge.
